I love how you plan your workshops and I agree with your ideas! Sit-and-get is not good for young learners OR adult learners. Expecting one person to give you all the answers does not promote independent, critical thinking (or much thinking at all!). Thank you for sharing! Sit and Get doesn't work, and if we consider the needs of our learners, we simply have to change how we teach teachers. One of the many reasons I love the coaching model is it does make us challenge our practice!Doris Herrmannhttps://teachinginnovators.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766477857327728509.post-43967442613823378002016-09-19T08:00:46.823-04:002016-09-19T08:00:46.823-04:00Don,

And I totally agree with you about providing links to videos and tutorials to the basic training elements... kind of like Flipped PD! I know George Couros talks a lot about letting his participants "figure it out," and often times I try to encourage that too. It's scary and hard for many teachers; we just have to keep encouraging them and modeling for them how the end result can really transform learning for their kiddos!Katie Bradfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07193130967745052379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766477857327728509.post-20017680288442983272016-09-19T07:32:08.743-04:002016-09-19T07:32:08.743-04:00Love your passion! Many times I provide that spoon feeding right from the source. If you want to know how to use Google Drive...here is a link to Google's trainings. Teachers in my district will be able to receive CPDUs for completing the PD options, but each offering starts with a comment about needing a general understanding of the concepts/apps/programs before moving on. Many links are provided to get teachers the background they need.Don Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07917372924756762137noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766477857327728509.post-46787161566068308312016-09-15T22:03:02.233-04:002016-09-15T22:03:02.233-04:00Katie...I appreciate the connection you have made ...Katie...I appreciate the connection you have made here.
